Let's Rip That Bandaid Off
Submitted By Nathan Joyes on Thursday, May 27, 2021
Being able to provide quality programming to our community is very important to the CWMLA executive. However, during the meeting last night, your CWMLA executive came to the consensus to cancel the 2021 BOX lacrosse season. Based on the government's current projections of getting inside at the earliest at the end of July, it just didn't make sense.

However, we remain ever diligent to continue to provide programming in our community. Plans for yet another season have started, with hopes of commencing in Step 2 of the government's reopening plan around the start of July.

We are aiming for a similar program to the lacrosse program that was run last fall, and we are hoping to start around the projected commencement date at the start of July.

We will need our community to reach out and help. Volunteers will be needed to coordinate teams and help with paperwork as needed. We will be passing along the information as we receive it. If you are interested in helping out, please reach out to [email protected]!

While you're waiting for more information, make sure you grab your stick and meet up with a friend at one of the nets around the community to shoot the ball. It's good for the soul!
