Let's Welcome Your 2021 Executive

Despite the 2020 CWMLA AGM being held virtually it was still interesting. Almost as if 2020 was kicking us once again, as many of those that planned on attending lost power or Internet preventing them from being able to attend. One family ended up bunkering down in a restaurant instead of being able to be at home because of weather.

Even without a regular lacrosse season in 2020 your executive's passion for providing an opportunity for our youth to play shone through!

We are pleased to announce the CWMLA executive for 2021.

Elected Positions

  • President - Nathan Joyes
  • Vice President - Kasey Beirnes
  • Registrar - Jennifer Adams
  • Treasurer - Maggie Kurtz
  • Scheduler - Dave Goetz
  • Secretary - Cheryl Marsland
  • Director of Box Lacrosse - Steve Boys
  • Director of Field Lacrosse - Mike Stovin
  • Past President - Rodney Golds
Appointed Positions
  • Girls Box Lacrosse Convenor - Samantha Renaud / Cherlyn Milne
  • Risk Management Coordinator - Kevin Detweiller
  • Tournament Coordinator - Sarah Joyes
  • Fundraising Coordinator - Doug Harkness
  • Equipment Coordinator - Chad Woods
  • Communications Coordinator - Cheryl Marsland
  • Peanut and Paperweight Convenor - Dave Cutten
  • Minor to Junior Liaison - Wayne England
  • Referee In Chief - Eric Vaal
In addition, we will have Meggin Fitzpatrick return heading up the new to 2020 #LoLax league. The executive is extremely excited to have Meggin return, and are hopeful that this new program will see some action in 2021.

With that said, regardless of what is thrown at them next year, your CWMLA executive will continue to provide quality lacrosse programming for your athletes and family.
