Phase 2 > Phase 1!
Many regions within Ontario -- including Centre Wellington -- have entered Premier Ford's second phase of opening the province. Which means that we are getting closer to returning to play lacrosse. And, your Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse Association executive is starting to plan to let you play.
Make sure you are getting those touches in -- we're here to help!
Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse Association, met with the township, and many of the other sports organizations in the area, met this week start talking about the requirements for return to play. During these discussions, we all shared plans from our governing organizations on their return-to-play requirements sharing insight into what it might look like locally.
The reduced restrictions on phase 2 has allowed more business and facilities to open as well as increasing the number of people that can gather in groups, or are permissible in your "family bubble".
We
CAN'T yet have team practices, but we are currently working on some return-to-play skills programs.
However, you
CAN get some touches in. Behind the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex, and at South Ridge Park (beside Jefferson Elora Corporation in Elora) we have set up some field lacrosse nets for anyone to use. Make sure you maintain your 6' physical distance, but get out there and have some fun!
