Zone 8 has Cancelled the Lacrosse Season
Submitted By Nathan Joyes on Monday, April 20, 2020
Many will have seen the news about the difficult decision to cancel the lacrosse season for all Zone 8 associations, including tournaments for 2020.

We are currently in the process of refunding 100% of your registration fees.

CWMLA had the best year for lacrosse registrations for quite some time, and as a result, we have close to 400 registrations to process. Please be patient as our volunteer team works through this process as fast as they can. After your refund has been processed it could take between 4 and 5 days to show up. We aim to have all refunds processed by Friday, May 8th.

Per our constitution, two signatures are required to approve transfer of funds from our bank account, as a result traditional e-transfer support is not possible.

In order to save the association the 2% credit card transaction fee that would come through refunding your credit card, our Treasurer, Maggie Kurtz, has found another payment processor. Veem, which will allow us to: maintain our constitutional requirements, remove the processing fee, and deposit your money directly into your bank account through a simple electronic verification process.

If you have any concerns regarding your refund, please reach out to Jen our registrar ([email protected]).
