Face-Off Clinic Success!
Submitted By Nathan Joyes on Sunday, December 30, 2018
Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse was pleased to hold our first face-off clinic yesterday. We had a number of players from Centre Wellington as well as a few from the Milton Lacrosse Association courtesy of Rlx Lacrosse. After a brief round of practicing both field and box face-offs we commenced a two tier knock-out tournament.

Congratulations Nate and Colby on winning your respective pools and a $10 gift card from Walmart. Jack and Benji won some consolation cradle baby prizes.

Starting our B pool, Kadence faced off against Blake with Blake taking the best of 3 series with a sweep. Next up was Colby verses Jack, Colby again swept. Moving onto the semis we saw Benji take on Blake, it was a tough battle each taking 1 to start, but Blake prevailed moving onto the finals against Colby. Another tough battle, but Colby ended up sweeping the best of 5 series in three rounds.

Moving onto our A pool, we saw Logan and Wyatt battle to three rounds, with Wyatt coming out on top. Next up was Nate vs Austin, that saw a tightly fought battle with Nate taking the third round and the win. Nolan and Wyatt were up next in the semis saw Wyatt push to the third game with a win to move onto the finals against Nate. Nate moved onto sweep the finals to become our A champion.

Holding a cross over pitting champion against champion we saw Colby take on Nate. Nate continued his dominance at the dot sweeping yet again.
