We Need Peewee Players!
Submitted By Nathan Joyes on Thursday, March 29, 2018
Our peewee team is currently in a tough spot, being short some players, and missing a potential goalie. Our mandate as an executive, is to provide a place for players to play lacrosse regardless of race, sex, creed and age, as always we are continuing towards that.

After hours of deliberating over the past few weeks and numerous conversations, there are currently a number of ways that the season could pan out. Some ways include:

  • A larger team with one goalie. Players still interested in playing lacrosse will likely have to trek over to KW for their house league program. Players not willing to play house league, nor willing to travel will likely not be able to play this season.

  • Two smaller teams with two goalies. We need to find a goalie, but there will be lots of floor time, and there will be stiff competition.

We are currently working with the existing peewee bench staff to attempt to come up with a solution that will be best for everyone.

We need more peewee aged players (born 2006 & 2007) to register for the program, and we could use your help. Through our existing referral program, you could earn up to $100 off your 2019 registration just by recruiting for CWMLA! Also, new players are eligible for a free stick from CW Sports in Fergus. Furthermore, our great community is always ready to help out if players require additional equipment, and CWMLA has a reserve fund if players require some financial report to get out on the floor.

So get out there and ask your friends, let’s grow the game together!
