SELECTION CRITERIA FOR THE Annie McDonald MEMORIAL AWARD
This award is Established in 2016 in recognition of the
outstanding achievements driven purely by the love of the game
of lacrosse for all ages by the late Annie McDonald .
This award recognizes a Individual who has made an
outstanding contribution to or has taken a leadership role in
Lacrosse in both Minor and the Elora Jr. B Mohawks as a
builder and promoter of lacrosse.
The candidates for the Award are assessed and a winner is chosen by a panel. The award will be presented to the successful candidate at the annual Mohawk Banquet Awards.
Eligibility: In order to be considered for the Annie McDonald Memorial Award, the Individual must have been involved as a executive member, manager, or coaching staff with minor or the Elora Mohawks for more than 10 years at the time of nomination
Nominations: Candidates for the Award must be nominated by a minimum of 2 people. These can be Current Executive members, life time members or other individuals from the Elora Mohawk Community. The letter of nomination must outline the criteria and experience as listed above as Eligible .
The Selection Committee: The Committee is comprised of three members. The Current President of the Elora Mohawks, a current executive who is a voting member of the committee, and 1 family member of Annie McDonald
The Selection Process: Selection Committee members look for evidence that the nominated Individual meets the criteria listed. Nominators should provide thorough descriptions and strong supportive evidence that demonstrate how the candidate meets the criteria. The Committee may interview the candidate(s) in order to select the winner.
